
The Social Services Department at Morse Geriatric Center offers support groups for residents and patients and families/caregivers of our resident and patients:
Short-Term Stay Patient and Family Support Group
For short-term stay patients and families, Morse Geriatric Center offers a group to orient them to what they will experience in our program. Mondays at 6:30 pm and Thursdays at 1:30 pm -- R3 Day Room.
Support Group for Spouses and Adult Children of Residents/Patients
Morse Geriatric Center offers support groups for spouses of residents/patients and for adult children or residents/patients on alternate Monday afternoons from 3:30 - 4:30, as well as a combined caregiver support group and Family Circle meeting on the second Monday of each month from 3:30 - 5:00 pm in the Therapeutic Recreation Room for support and guidance, coping strategies, educational topics and prevention of burnout and guest speakers.
Just Checking! offers many groups for caregivers for information and support throughout Palm Beach County, St. Lucie County and Martin County. Some of these groups are focused on special issues, such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Disease, while others are general. The following is a current list of caregiver groups:
