600 MorseLife Friends and Supporters Enjoy Cards & Games, and Shopping In Support of Seniors

West Palm Beach, FL (February 10, 2011) - With a record turnout, nearly 600 women enjoyed a day of good friends, lunch, games and shopping, while at the same time sharing their passion for enhancing the lives of seniors of our community.

The MorseLife Annual Luncheon and Card Party, held Wednesday, February 9 at The Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, which supports the nonprofit’s mission of making lives better from seniors of Palm Beach County, offered a day of cards, shopping for jewelry, handbags, cashmere, gifts, and other fineries, and a sumptuous luncheon.

Chairmen of the event were JC Meyers and Andrea Stark of Palm Beach. Phyllis Krock, Chairman for the Friends of MorseLife, opened the event with words of thanks for the organizers. "I believe we really owe a debt of gratitude to JC Meyers and Andrea Stark, our chairs for this spectacular event," she said. "JC and Andrea -- you’ve really worked tirelessly and creatively along with your committee chairs, Susan Ross, Judy Snyder, Carole Koeppel and Carla Goldworm so hard to ensure a spectacular and well attended event, in support of MorseLife and the seniors of our community."

JC Meyers made note of "the hard work of an incredible team of passionate women, this was truly a fantastic and successful event. Ms. Stark also made stated that it was an honor to stand before 600 women who have come together to support this important organization. "Can you imagine - 600 women in one room for one cause?" she said.

The event was also a shopping extravanganza for the supportive women, with boutiques that included Bonnie’s Loft Handbags, Girl Rocks Jewelry, Jewels by Viggi, Paige Gamble Exotic Handbags & Jewelry, Queen of Cashmere, Roni Lynn Doppelt Art and Shawn Warren Design Fine Jewelry. Among the scores of donated raffle items were a golf foursome at Trump International, dinner for 4 at The Mar-a-Lago Club, a clover necklace from Van Cleef and Arpels, one year new membership at Palm Beach Yacht Club, $500 gift certificate to Valentino and a catered dinner party by Christafaro’s.

The next event is the March 14th MorseLife Golf Classic, which begins at 7:30 am with breakfast and registration, followed by a shot-gun start at 8:45 am and 10:30 am for 9 Hole Golfers, with an awards luncheon at 1:00 pm. The Golf entrance fee is $350 per person for men and $300 per person for women, and sponsorship opportunities are available.
