Terri C. Sriberg Named Chairman of MorseLife, Inc. at 27th Annual Meeting

West Palm Beach, FL (April 1, 2010) - With more than ten years of leadership and involvement with MorseLife and its entities, Terri C. Sriberg has been named Chairman for the years 2010 through 2012. Previously serving for two years as Chairman for the Morse Geriatric Center, as well as MorseLife’s Vice Chairman, Mrs. Sriberg’s election was announced at the nonprofit organization’s 27th Annual Meeting.

According to Mrs. Sriberg, her involvement with MorseLife began after meeting for the first time her friend and colleague Beatrice Bloch, outgoing Chairman for MorseLife.

"In over four hours on the golf course with Bea ten years ago, I completely understood why her involvement meant so much to her, as it has to me," she said. "Her passion for the organization really inspired me to get and involved and strive to make a difference, and today, I am so proud to be following in her shoes with her blessing."

Mrs. Sriberg first served on the board of MorseLife’s Women’s Auxiliary - now called Friends of MorseLife -- and rose to its presidency prior to joining the board of MorseLife. She then accepted the position of Chairman of Morse Geriatric Center, the long-term care facility of MorseLife, and was later named Vice Chairman of MorseLife.

Keith A. Myers, President/CEO of MorseLife who has worked side-by-side with Mrs. Sriberg since he joined the organization in 2007, praised her willingness to contribute her time, intelligence and passion to MorseLife’s mission of enhancing the lives of seniors. "Terri has notably been involved with MorseLife at a time of great challenge and opportunity - throughout the development of our strategic plan for the future - and now serves in this leadership role as we embark on our Capital Campaign and are beginning to see our plans start to become a reality," he said. "Terri’s leadership throughout this period has been critical - not just for her vision and foresight in looking at the next decades, but also for her passion and compassion in keeping the needs of seniors at the forefront. In taking on this Chairmanship, I know that our organization is in the hands of someone with a solid grasp of our direction and purpose."

Mrs. Sriberg notes that MorseLife’s future plan includes a transformation of the campus to meet the coming of the Silver Tsunami - a 200% increase in seniors within Palm Beach County, and outlined the three phases of the Capital Campaign project:

"I am so looking forward to working with staff and lay leadership on these critical projects that will transform the MorseLife campus," noted Mrs. Sriberg. "The treasured seniors we help deserve no less than the best, and with the support of our community, they will get just that - a world-class organization ready and willing to meet their needs."

Mrs. Sriberg is a native of Newton, Massachusetts and attended Boston University. She follows the example of her mother, a professionally-trained singer involved in many Jewish organizations who was among the youngest Presidents of the American Jewish Congress in Boston. While raising her children in the Boston area, Mrs. Sriberg was also in the interior design and jewelry business while she served on the boards of various arts organizations, including the Institute of Contemporary Art and the Brandeis University Theatre, and later worked with her husband, Paul Sriberg, on the financial side of his businesses.

Upon moving to Palm Beach, Mrs. Sriberg was committed to becoming involved with causes with which she felt a connection and became a member of the Cystic Fibrosis organization and joined the board of the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County, where she co-chaired Lion of Judah Luncheons and events at her community, BallenIsles.

She notes proudly that she is now passing along her interest in "making a difference" to her granddaughter Amanda, now a freshman at the University of Michigan, who started a B’nai B’rith youth group in Framingham, Massachusetts, participated in the Maccabi Games in Los Angeles and is leaving next month on a Birthright Israel trip. "I truly feel that seeing the rewards of "giving back" to worthy causes and organizations is rubbing off on my entire family," she notes.

Mrs. Sriberg resides with her husband Paul in Palm Beach Gardens.
