MorseLife was founded in 1983 as a provider of long term care and community-based services to seniors of Palm Beach County. Over the past twenty-five years, MorseLife has built a stellar reputation as one of the finest organizations in this country serving the varied needs of aging adults. Through the strategic vision and innovative direction of board leadership and the executive team, MorseLife is positioned as the premier organization for seniors and their families, and for professionals in the field seeking to learn best practices in the care of seniors.
MorseLife is proud to provide internships, mentorships and travel for nursing and all the allied health care professions including social work, rehabilitation, health care administration and dietetics. Presently, MorseLife has established affiliations with major medical centers and institutions of higher education for the purpose of training clinicians in the geriatric field, and for the study of innovative and unique ways of caring for new generations of older adults and their families. Additionally, MorseLife is a coveted site for clinical internships, particularly for individuals seeking professional careers in the area of geriatrics. Geriatrics Fellows from University of Miami’s School of Medicine reside on the MorseLife Campus. In addition, medical students from Nova Southeastern University’s School of Osteopathic Medicine receive a portion of the training under the auspices of the Medical Director of Nurse Practitioners. Additionally, MorseLife hosts lectures and tutorials on geriatric subjects for third year medical participants from Florida Atlantic University, three times per year.
MorseLife has also served as the convener or sponsor of programs and seminars targeting staff, the community and health care professionals and paraprofessionals representing various health care and related providers such as nursing homes, independent and assisted living residences, home care agencies, and hospitals. MorseLife has planned a broad range of programs for the community and for health care professionals seeking continuing education credits.
MorseLife has in its twenty-five years maintained a management culture that is synonymous with “excellence.” The organization is eager and ready to pass along its passion for excellence and assume its mantle of leadership as the model for others to follow.
In light of the success of past and current education initiatives and in order to be a strong cutting-edge leader in Senior Health Care, MorseLife has decided to place all of its past and future education efforts under the umbrella of MorseLife Learning Institute - a “center of learning” for both professionals and community. MorseLife Learning Institute will develop and present an annual series of seminars and programs, separately targeting internal staff, professional and community audiences.
